Each character has two abilities, active and passive. A single tap on any screen part activates the primary ability. The style of the fundamental ability depends on the character's skin, pertinent to the nature of elements powering the ability.
The in-game currencies are utilized and earned by playing PvE and PvP modes. While the single-player mode grants earnings by completing daily missions and character upgrades, the opportunities in multiplayer mode are boundless and dependent on a player's skill and devotion to win the match. The In-game currency (OPAL) is changeable with a $MRUN token through price oracles.
The Levels are procedurally generated, while difficulty increases gradually to keep the players engaged and hone their skills, eventually making the game competitive and fun.

Metarun comes with different types of characters. Each character has a predefined setting, or "rarity, " affecting initial power and earning potential. Heroes with a higher rarity will have more powerful abilities (active and passive), initial characteristics ( health, mana potion, damage, max speed), and higher win/lose bonuses.

Metarun comes with the skin rarity system for each character in the class. The skin rarity of each character determines the cosmetic and visual effects. Also, it affects the

All the characters of each class are limited to the maximum level based on the rarity of their skin. The higher the skin rarity, the higher the Hero level and abilities level can be achieved inside the game. There are currently three types of skin Rarity:

The table describes the correspondence between the “rarity of the skin,” “the maximum level of the hero,” and “the maximum level of abilities” in both PvE and PvP modes.
The skin rarity determined the total limit of OPAL-earning battle races. The exact value of the total number of battle runs will be randomly determined when receiving the character from the chest. The higher the character's skin rarity, the higher the OPAL earning battles(PVP).
The OPAL battle run limit has the following values:
Characters whose OPAL earning battles limit has been reached will no longer receive OPAL for races but can play both PvE/PvP modes, further can participate in special events/tournaments to earn premium characters, pets, artifacts, and OPAL.
Characters who reach the limit of the battles can still earn by completing daily missions in PvE mode. The limit can be reset for the burning of NFTs. NFTs can either be of

A player may sacrifice his character with an unused limit to renew another character's limit. The sacrificed character is completely destroyed. The equipped artifact and pet are returned to the inventory. All battle runs replenished over the limit are canceled, and reimbursement is not made. The number of races to be replenished is based on the formula, i.e.,
The number of remaining runs of the sacrificed character = N1
Number of restored runs = N2
Base cost of the sacrificed character's skin = C1
Base cost of the restored character's skin = C2
Number of restored runs = (Number of remaining runs of the sacrificed character * Base cost of the sacrificed character's skin / Base cost of the restored character's skin) *0.9.
A player may sacrifice his pet or artifact to renew the character's limit. The sacrificed pet or artifact is destroyed. All battle runs replenished more than the limit are canceled, and reimbursement is not made.

The players can change and upgrade the skin of a character inside the game. Still, skin rarity can be upgraded only in terms of visuals such as additional hats, glasses, or variations in the color scheme. Each rarity level has a list of predefined skins. Buying an additional skin does not increase the rarity parameter such as max hero level, max ability level, and OPAL earning battles. The player can improve the character's appearance through OPAL and by completing missions.
All the characters of each class in the Metarun start with level 1. Character level represents the base value of health, mana, speed, damage, and abilities. The players can upgrade the base values by playing the game through the native token $MRUN, hard currency, and soft currencies inside the game.
Character level determines the hero's characteristics and max abilities level inside the game. Higher the character level, higher the characteristics, and power of abilities, provide users more chances of winning the game. Metarun characters can achieve the max level of 15, and their abilities can simultaneously achieve the max level of 45.
When a character is obtained from the chest or bought from the Metarun game store has the first level, but if purchased from the secondary market, the character level can be higher. The current rarity of the skin determines the character's maximum level.
Each class, character level upgrade to the next level, required some amount of soft currency(GOLD), hard currency(OPAL), and MetaRun native token ($MRUN).
According to the following principle, the character level increases:
x1 * GOLD + x2 * OPAL + x3 * $MRUN = Current Level +1
Characteristics of all the characters, such as health, mana, damage, and maximal speed, are upgraded linearly with increasing character levels.
How much the character's active and passive abilities can be upgraded depends on the character Level. The higher the character level, the higher the hero's active and passive abilities can be upgraded. The character's current level determines the maximum active and passive abilities level.
Each character in the Metarun will have one predefined active and passive ability. The ability is on the first level when the hero is obtained from the chest or bought from the Metarun game store. The character ability level can be higher if purchased from the secondary market.

The maximum level of the active and passive ability is determined by the character's current level. Active and Passive ability upgrade is directly connected to the character level. At every level of character, there is a max or final upgrade level of ability known as Milestone level. The milestone level is the final level for the character's current level; Hero's abilities for a further upgrade require the character to be upgraded to the next level.
Let's suppose a character is bought through a chest and has a character level of 1; AT this current level of character, the abilities can achieve the maximum level of 3. On character level 1, the 3rd level of ability will be the milestone level; similarly, on character level 15, the 45 levels of ability will be the milestone level.
To achieve the milestone level of ACTIVE ability at the current level of character requires soft currency(DIAMOND), hard currency(OPAL), and Metarun native token ($MRUN) and is obtained according to the principle:

Booster is a temporary or instantaneous boost to a character that triggers when it crosses a player. All boosters are located on the map in random places in the form of boxes. When crossing with a box, the player receives one random booster from the list available. Some boosters are used automatically upon receipt, and some are tapped to use.
All boosters, except mana and health bottles, drop from the mystery box.
Pets are the companion to the characters that grants an additional passive ability to the player during the run. Only one pet can be used per character at a time. A pet can be removed or equipped at any time before the run. The player will get the random pet from a chest, and its ability is determined when the pet is obtained. Pet abilities, once determined, can’t be changed. Pets can be bought and sold through the secondary market with desired abilities and levels and can be burned to reset the OPAL earning PvP battles.

If a player picks up a health potion or mana potion, then there is a 30% chance that the healing effect will be doubled.
Pets have a rarity system. The higher the rarity, the higher the maximum ability level of the pet. Pets have the following rarity levels:

Pets have a level system. The higher the level, the stronger the ability. When obtained from the chest, as a reward, or bought from the game store, Pets start with level 1 and have a max level cap of 30.
Players can level up pets anytime, regardless of the character's level and skin. Pets can be leveled up with the diamonds by the formula;

Artifact grants additional power to the player during the run. Only one Artifact can be used per character at a time. An Artifact can be removed or equipped at any time before the run. Artifacts can be obtained from the secondary market, chest and created by players using special dust. up a health potion or mana potion, then there is a 30% chance that the healing effect will be doubled.
Players can get special dust from the chests and Battle pass. They can use this dust to create artifacts. The more dust was used, the greater the chance to create strong artifacts.
The artifact obtained enhances the character's primary stats. The artifact obtained enhances the main stats of the character.
The artifact increases from one to three stats:
Maximum health.
Maximum mana.
Collision damage.
Improved stats are determined at the time of obtaining the artifact.
Artifacts have a rarity system. The higher the rarity, the more substantial the improvement of main characteristics (health, mana, collision damage).

Mana is obtained by collecting mana bottles on the track required to activate the active abilities to stop or eliminate the enemies/creatures. However, boosters do not require Mana, but some of our passive abilities require mana.
Metarun comes with static and moving opponents in both PvE and PvP modes that damage the player by crossing and are classified as
Static - the enemy stands still and does not move.
Moving - the enemy is moving in the player's direction or horizontally. Opponents can be both ground and flying.
There is also an additional division into attackers and non-attackers opponents; furthermore, they have different amounts of health, damage, and currency issued upon death.
Non-attacking enemies only deal damage when crossing them.
Attacking opponents launch various projectiles at the player.
If the players are on adjacent lines at approximately the same position, they can push each other. By pushing each other, players deal damage and occupy the enemy's line, pushing him out of it.
If both players push, the one who did it first wins.
If both players are pushed simultaneously, they both take damage and return to their lanes.
If the characters are on the same line, one of the players can jump up and push off from the enemy to quickly cover a long distance and get ahead.
If the characters are on the same line, the player running behind can use the slide to knock down and slow down the opponent and deal damage to him.

If the player's health level drops to zero, the player receives a punishment of reset. A reset causes the penalty of losing all accumulated mastery points and boosters. The player instantly appears at the same place with the following parameters:

The hero league is a ranking system for Metarun characters. Every character has its own league ranking and is independent of skin. The league ranking will be reset to zero when characters are bought or sold in the secondary market. It is based on two entities:
Glory
League
Glory : Each hero has their Glory level. Glory is awarded for a victory and subtracted for a defeat in PvP-mode.
League : Character league system based on Glory points. To advance to the successive league, the player needs to score several Glory points. The loss of points leads to relegation from the league. The league also affects matchmaking in PvP mode; only players of the same league can compete with each other.
League Bonus : Each league has its own rewards for PvP-matches played. The higher the glory point, the higher the league ranking results in a higher League bonus the character receives for a PvP-match. such as

OPAL can also be utilized to buy visual upgrades of skins, which can be used to customize characters and much more.

To sustain the Metarun ecosystem, we adopt a state-of-the-art tokenomics model with a conditional, decentralized minting, and deflationary token mechanism.
Metarun has the potential to grow on a large scale. This could potentially create a need to mint additional tokens for sustaining the ecosystem. The minting mechanism will be decentralized by using smart contracts and constructed to reduce the impact on the token price to a minimum, exclude the risk of exploits and hacks, and add an adequate number of tokens to circulation. The total supply of $MRUN tokens is capped to 1 billion i,e, there will be no minting if the supply reaches the max supply of 1 billion $MRUN tokens.
The minting will work in the following way:
The ecosystem development fund emits tokens into the system through pool rewards only.
If the fund dips below 25%, it is replenished by additional minting.
It replenishes the Ecosystem fund in 5% increments per hour until it reaches 70%.
The platform will circulate tokens back into the ecosystem development fund, which can be later used as follows; a. Burned b. Spend on Project development c. Distribute as rewards d. Sent to Treasury funds. This system is subject to change as the project evolves.

Metarun will adopt character leasing, a unique revolutionary way to capitalize on your game NFTs inducing further liquidity and utility. This feature will allow owners to lease out their in-game character, NFTs, for a limited time while claiming back a percentage of the earnings. The basic overview of how it works is given below
A player (hereinafter the owner) may rent a character to another player (hereinafter the renter).
The renter gets temporary ownership, uses the character as his own, and can receive all the soft currency for the races.
The received hard currency is divided between the owner and renter in the ratio determined by the owner. The ratio is determined before the rental begins.
The owner selects the rental period prior to the start of the rental. The owner may set a game limit and a rental time limit.
The player(owner) will set a lease fee in MRUN tokens.
Earning potential of every character is associated with the a. Rarity of the characters. b. The rarity of skin. c. Win rate. d. Hero league.
The higher the character rarity, skin rarity, and win rate, the higher the earnings potential.
Heroes with a higher rarity will have more powerful abilities, initial characteristics ( health, mana potion, damage, max speed), and higher win/lose bonuses resulting in higher earning potential.
Heroes with a higher skin rarity will have a higher character level, character active and passive abilities power level, and OPAL earning battles results in higher earning potential.
The character with higher rarities has more chances to win the PvP battles resulting in higher earning potential.
The higher the hero league, the higher the rewards will be in every match and at the end of every season, resulting in higher earning potential.
